The Challenger is a mid-size sports-utility model from Dodge. Its production began in 1970. Sharing its platform (E-Body) with the Plymouth Barracuda the Dodge Challenger impressed by its wide range of powertrains. The R / T version (Road / Track) had engines, all V8 from the 335cv, the 375cv, with a four-body carburetor, Magnum 440 and the top 426 Hemi V8 425cv line. The Dodge still built the T / A (Trans Am) version, which was sold almost identical to that Dodge was competing in the Trans Am championship. The first car bearing the name Challenger was the mid-year introduction of a limited edition 1959 of Dodge Challenger Silver.
