'09 Corvette Stingray Concept

Description[]

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept is a fully-functional concept car designed by Ed Welburn and unveiled at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show. The car was said to be powered by a "Hybrid Stingray" powertrain mating an LS-series V8 with a hybrid system; in reality, it was just a normal Chevrolet 6.2L LS3 V8 with a new engine cover. The car is currently located at the GM Heritage Center.

The deco of the casting and description on the back of its initial release's packaging references the Corvette Stingray Concept's role as the "alternate mode" of the character Sideswipe from the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
