The '66 Batmobile is a Hot Wheels casting based on the Batmobile featured on the original Batman TV series, debuting in the 2007 New Models.
The Batmobile itself was created in an astonishingly short time by custom car guru George Barris, who had previously purchased Lincoln's elegant 1955 "Futura" concept car. With new 1960s-style wheel arches, a few bat-like styling cues and a coat of black paint, it entered a new life as the Caped Crusader's ride.
