The RLC sELECTIONs Series debuted in 2004 as was a first of its kind allowing collectors at HotWheelsCollectors.com the opportunity to vote for 4 cars in a series and essentially vote each element of the casting to create a production model based on the popular vote. 2018 was the third consecutive year there will only be 1 car in this series.
The 2018 RLC sELECTIONs Series was the first time that each car in the bracket was sponsored by a Mattel employee (list below). It was also the first time the winning option actually competed against a car that wasn't originally in the bracket.
- Custom Firebird: HWC Brendon
- Honda S2000: HWC Jimmy
- ’56 Ford F100 (opening hood): HWC Mike
- ’71 Plymouth GTX: HWC Van
- Custom Mustang: HWC Lou
- ’57 Chevy® Bel Air® (opening hood): HWC Gary
- Datsun 240Z: HWC Manson
- Shelby Cobra 427 S/C: Larry Wood
