Choosing a "flagship" vehicle to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of Hot Wheels cars was not an easy task. Months of discussion took place. Heritage was an important consideration, as was power and performance. Many insisted on a cutting-edge design. The car we finally selected was a replica of a full size concept car created by former Hot Wheels designer, Harry Bradley... the Deora.
It was a perfect choice because the updated Deora II released in 2000 has become popular among collectors and served as a fitting bookend to the Hot Wheels story.
The Deora and the Deora II are a classic pair of California customs for those who refuse to cruise in anything but the coolest custom that can make thirty-five years go by in the blink of an eye. This Collector's Edition 2-car set was created exclusively for the 35th anniversary of Hot Wheels cars.
