40th Anniversary of the Classic Two-Seat T-Bird[]
Go cruising as fast as you can! In response to its sporty rival, the Chevy Corvette, Ford introduced the Thunderbird - a triumph of European style and American comfort named after the American Southwest Indian god of rain and prosperity. The '57 T-Bird two-seat roadster, available as a hardtop or convertible, was wildly popular with young America. Its simple lines, long hood/short deck profile, and subtle blade-like fins made it an instant collector car when production ceased after 1957. Its retro shape places it high in the '50s Car Hall of Fame and today it brings back nostalgic memories of the diner and drive-in era!
