The Action Duos series first debuted under The Dark Knight subset of the DC Comics license in 2008. Each set consisted of a single-lane rubber band launcher that could be slotted over a length of track and two models. The launcher style of this assortment was later modified for Battle Pack releases under the Battle Force 5 series in 2009.
