Action Racers

Action Racers was a series of larger-scale (approximately 1:43 scale) Hot Wheels cars produced from 1987 to about 1995, initially under the Hot Wheels Giants line. These were a series of Hot Wheels cars which featured clockwork motors which could be activated by pulling back and releasing, akin to many other clockwork toy cars. These were manufactured by Arco Toys, a subsidiary of Mattel.

Numerous versions of the Action Racers were produced, each having some sort of different special trait about their paint finish. A similar series known as the Action Cycles was also produced.

A number of vehicles are repeat castings but advertised under a different series. All castings are licensed but do not feature proper names.
