The Ala Kart is a custom 1929 Ford Model A built by Barris Kustoms in 1957/1958. It won America's Most Beautiful Roadster at the Oakland Roadster Show in 1958. After appearing in several magazines and car shows, the car changed hands multiple times and was restored in 2001 and still exists today.
The Hot Wheels version debuted in the collector-aimed (100% Hot Wheels) Legends: Barris Kustom 4-Car Set. It only saw two releases, they are almost identical and representing its real-life color scheme. The only difference between the 2 versions is the width of the black coating on side steps
