Description[]

Anodized was the name of a paint coat and system, developed by Nathan Proch, Tim Parsey and Keith Kirby, used by Hot Wheels on releases of AcceleRacers and many other series throughout 2005 and 2006. This finish was not a standard paint used on mainline models, but rather a specialized aluminum coat applied using an electro conductive solution[1] in multiple layers. This process resulted in a unique metallic finish in a spectrum of PMS colors for plastic-bodied models that was unable to be achieved via other painting methods.
