Description[]

The Aston Martin V8 is a grand touring sports car manufactured by Aston Martin from 1969 to 1989 over five series. Styled by William Towns, the V8 acted as the successor to the DB6, with Aston Martin had wanted to replace with a more modern looking model. As the name suggests the car is powered by a 5.3L V8. The car was marketed for a time as "Britan's Fastest Supercar" for its 170 mph (274 km/h) top speed. 4,021 were produced from 1969 to 1989.

The V8 has also appeared in mass media, with the V8 appearing in the James Bond film The Living Daylights; the car used in the film was a Series 4 V8 Volante owned by Aston Martin chairman Victor Gauntlett with the license plate B549 WUU and was driven by Timothy Dalton, the actor for James Bond. Later in the movie the car is fitted with a hardtop during the winter at Q Branch; for these scenes two additional V8 Coupes were used with the same number plates. The V8 would make a reappearance with other Bond cars in the film No Time to Die.

This was Ronald Wong's first independent Premium design.
