The Audi R8 LMS is a grand touring race car developed by Audi Sport for use in endurance racing. Unveiled in 2015 as a racing version of the Audi R8, the car is the successor to the previous generation Audi R8 LMS. The car is homologated for GT3 class racing and sees use in various endurance racing series, such as the GT World Challenge, Super GT and the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Continually developed and revised since 2015 with two revisions, the evo and evo II, introduced in 2019 and 2022 respectively, the R8 LMS is one of the most successful grand touring race cars, with over 100 victories and over 40 titles achieved during its competitive lifespan. Over 138 chassis have been produced since 2015.
The casting received modifications for the id line, with the car's front bumper being sloped upwards for track compatibiliy and its sideplate being cast into the body.
