This 4x4 van was introduced in 1978 as the '''Baja Breaker''' in Gray to the Hot Wheels line-up with Large Blackwalls ([[BW]]), along with the [[Bywayman]], the first vehicles with Large Blackwalls front and back. The designers made a special lifted base to fit these, as they share the same base. The design is based on the 3rd generation Ford Econoline.

This Ford 4x4 van was introduced in 1978 as the '''Baja Breaker''' in gray to the [[Flying Colors]] line([[bw]]).In 1980 in the basic line the color was changed to green. In 1983 in the basic line the color changed to metel flake orange and was also added to the Real Riders line.In 1984 it continued the Real Riders line in black with a red stripe. Reintroduced into the basic line in 1989 in black with a red stripe.Later in 1989 it was white with A.T.V. racing team tampo. In 1997 it was released in purple with yellow dots fading forward. Description

This 4x4 van was introduced in 1978 as the Baja Breaker in Gray to the Hot Wheels line-up with Large Blackwalls (BW), along with the Bywayman, the first vehicles with Large Blackwalls front and back. The designers made a special lifted base to fit these, as they share the same base. The design is based on the 3rd generation Ford Econoline.

Versions

The original release of the Baja Breaker feature 2 rear windows. The casting was retooled shortly after its release with a single rear window (see Gallery below). The gray 1978 release is the only version with 2 separate windows. The gray 1978 version with a single window is more difficult to find. The Baja Breaker has been issued in the following versions:
