The Car Wash was one of various Hot Wheels car wash sets designed in the 1990s and one of two in the Hot Wheels World lineup. This was a large set featuring a three-story complex with soap and water features in an attempt to clean and sud the car. The original set from 1997 included no cars.
The set was last released in 2005 in a deluxe three-car bundle featuring three cars and a set of cones. The set as a whole remained unchanged with the exception of various logos being altered.
