A card is the cardboard packaging that Hot Wheels are packaged on. Most Hot Wheels vehicles are worth more on the card. On the right is a typical Hot Wheels card which is from the Workhorses line of 1987 and features the Road Roller.
The card often contains the following details:
- Name of vehicle
- Year introduced
- What series it was released in (e.g. Treasure Hunt and Track Stars)
- Picture of the vehicle. On Track Stars, the orange Hot Wheels track is below the car, where as on the Race World series in 2010, the cars had a specific background corresponding to its series (e.g. Beach and Volcano).
- A color on the top right of the card (e.g. green for Treasure Hunts.)
