Description[]
The Chevrolet Astro II was a one-off prototype developed by Chevrolet in 1968. Designed by Larry Shinoda, the Astro II featured a "spaceship-like" design and was used to study the feasibility of a mid-engined Corvette for production; while similar studies would be performed in the years that followed, a mid-engined Corvette would only begin serial production in 2020. The sole prototype is currently located in the GM Heritage Center.
The model features an opening engine bay, front compartment and doors. This model was created specifically for the Gran Toros line and was not featured in any of the original Mebetoys lineups.
