Description

The Chrysler Firepower was a concept sports car manufactured by DaimlerChrysler. Styled by Bryan Nielander, the Firepower was unveiled at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show; it is powered by a 6.1L Hemi V8 and is based on the Dodge Viper. It features styling cues taken from the Chrysler Crossfire and ME Four-Twelve, with computational fluid dynamics modeling used to shape the body with aerodynamics, sufficient downforce and engine cooling in mind. The car was designed to show Chrysler's capabilities of building a hybrid sports car using an existing platform; signs initially pointed to the car entering production, although Chrysler later stated that the car would not enter production due to Chrysler being unable to find a viable way to do so.

This casting features a raised front bumper, meant to allow for better track performance.
