Description
The Chrysler Thunderbolt was a four-seat concept car designed by Tom Gale which debuted at the 1993 North American International Auto Show. Intended to be a halo car, the car was based on a lengthened Chrysler LH platform shared with the Concorde, Intrepid, LHS and 300M. The car was fully functional and was powered by an experimental 4.0L 32-valve V8 designed by François Castaing fed through a 4-speed automatic transmission, and featured a highly advanced infotainment system with a satnav and built-in video games. The real car is currently located at the Walter P. Chrysler museum.
The Hot Wheels Highway 35: World Race incarnation of the Thunderbolt produces 670 HP from a mid-mounted V10 which is mated to conceal experimental worm drive propellers. The car is driven by Fluke of the Wave Rippers.
