In 1993 Hot Wheels came out with a series of cars for the movie Demolition Man. The cars in the series came packaged with a "Cryo Cube". The plastic interlocking cubes are the same as the Park 'n Plates boxes but have flat plastic covers with a paper picture of the real car from the movie instead of the license plate like covers. There were nine cars in the series, but only seven were actually new; some of the castings in this series did not actually appear in the movie or acted as stand-ins for ones that did.
A notable quirk about the new castings in this series is that all feature "'93 Warner" on their bases; this is copyright info related to Warner Bros., the distributors of the film. In later releases of the castings, this copyright is scrubbed off and replaced with generic "'93 Mattel" copyright information, along with the names of the cars ("Aurora" for the Oldsmobile Aurora, 442 for the Olds 442 etc.). Another notable quirk is that some of the cars in this series do not feature any interiors, with painted pieces of the body masquerading as windows or windshields; it is not clear why this was done, although one theory was that the designers were not confident with making a profit off this series and kept production costs to a minimum.

Demolition Man Prototypes[]
On the rear packaging photos show various existing castings mocked up to appear like the cars in the set (i.e. XT-3 as the GM Lean Machine, Jaguar XJ220 for the Buick Wildcat etc.) as presumably these photos were prepared well in advance of the castings themselves being created.
Below will showcase these unique prototypes and lists only the cars that feature differences from what was actually released. The Chevrolet ACC Camaro & Pontiac Banshee are the only two cars in the image that don't appear different from the final results. For more Prototypes click HERE
