The Drift King is an original Hot Wheels casting, debuting in the 2007 New Models. It is classified as a 2-seat futuristic tuner with a exposed front engine and as it's name implies it was made to do extreme drifting stunts.

The McDonald's Drift King is a plastic and slightly larger version of the model that features a light-up switch under it's base that glows a dim red. The Drift King also features stickers which features red Team Hot Wheels decals.
The Hot Wheels RC "Drift Car Drift King" is a large scale radio controlled version of Drift King which features a light up engine that glows red. As the name implies this version of Drift King can do professional drifting stunts. It should be noted that this version of the car is very elusive as no documentation of it has been found in stores nor the after market.
