FTE or Faster Than Ever is a line of Hot Wheels Wheel Types.
Cars with this wheel had special nickel-plated axles, reducing friction and increasing the car's speed. It is always the same "bronze" color. FTE wheels are essentially the same wheels as the OH5SP but differ in color and axle. Due to the additional operation of nickel-plating the axles, these wheels are more expensive to produce than wheels on normal axles; both sets of wheels were no longer used by 2013.
The original FTE wheels were designed by Tim Parsey and Nathan Proch.

FTE2[]
FTE2 (Or Faster than Ever 2) is the replacement to the original FTE wheel that had been used on Faster than Ever models since 2005. FTE2 wheels were introduced midway through 2011 and were used until 2012. Compared to the original FTE wheels FTE2 wheels are considered inferior; despite both having nickel-plated axles the profile of FTE2 wheels cause them to rub up against the sidewalls of the tracks, slowing the car down and causing crashes.
The same basic wheel type has been used since 2012 as the TRAP5 wheel without the nickel-plated axle as well as numerous other different rim colors.
