Description[]
The Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, commonly known as the 250 California, is a two-door roadster manufactured by Ferrari from 1957 to 1963. Styled by Sergio Scaglietti, the 250 California was one of a number of variants of the 250 family of cars. The car was designed to appeal specifically to the American market, particularly buyers in California, who wanted a more aggressive and sportier convertible model than the 250 GT Cabriolet Pinin Farina which was already in the lineup. The car, similar to most 250s, was powered by a 3.0L Colombo Tipo 128 V12 mated to a 4-speed manual. The car gained wider fame when it appeared in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off; today, the car is one of the most collectible and desirable Ferrari models due to its aesthetic appeal and lineage. 106 were produced.
