Description[]
The Ferrari 512S Berlinetta Speciale was a wedge-shaped concept car introduced at the 1969 Turin Motor Show. Designed by Filippo Sapino at Pininfarina, the 512S Berlinetta Speciale featured a non-functioning 6.2L V12 from a Ferrari 612P Can-Am car and featured numerous upwards opening hatches and a distinctive no-door design, with a canopy being lifted for drivers to gain access to the cockpit.
This model features an opening engine cover, front hatch, canopy and pop-up headlights. This model was created specifically for the Gran Toros line and was not featured in any of the original Mebetoys lineups; it was however later converted for use in the Mebetoys lineup after the Gran Toros line was discontinued. This model was also sold in knockdown kit form where it had to be assembled by the buyer.
