Description[]
The Ferrari 612P was a purpose-built Group 7 prototype produced and raced by Ferrari specifically for the Canadian-American Challenge Cup, or Can-Am. Using a 6.2L V12, the 612P was raced from 1968 to 1970 with mixed success. Converted from a Ferrari 512S, the car was usually driven by New Zealand racing driver Chris Amon. For 1970, the car was replaced by the 712P. Only one chassis was produced; it was later converted into the Modulo concept car.
The model features an opening engine bay, doors and air brake. This model was created specifically for the Gran Toros line and was not featured in any of the original Mebetoys lineups; this was the first model in the Gran Toros line.
