Ferrari Dino 246 GTS

The Dino 246 GTS is a mid-engined V6-powered two-seat sports car manufactured by Ferrari under their Dino marque from 1969 to 1974. Styled by Leonardo Fioravanti and Aldo Brovarone of Pininfarina, the 246 acted as an upgraded version of the 206, the marque's previous offering. The car was powered by a 2.4L Dino V6 producing 192 horsepower mated to a 5-speed synchromesh manual. Compared to the 206 the 246 featured a mostly steel body to save costs, had a longer wheelbase and a revised interior; unlike the 206 which was only available as a coupe, the 246 was available as both a coupe and a targa topped version named the 246 GT and 246 GTS respectively, the latter being introduced in 1972 after the car's "Series III" revision. Minor trim of the car, such as side marker lights and reflectors, varied from market to market. The car was discontinued in 1974; it was the last road car manufactured by Ferrari to use a V6 engine until the introduction of the 296 in 2021. 3,569 were produced, of which 1,274 were 246 GTSs.
