Description[]
This casting represents one of many of the comic book and TV Series versions of the custom-made vehicle for Marvel's anti-hero The Punisher. Outside of the Mattel version, it is also known as the "Battle Van". This casting is dated 2017 on the base, made in Thailand and newly-released in 2018 as part of the Marvel Hot Wheels Entertainment Mix B. Even though this vehicle has a slight resemblance to a Chevrolet Vandura, it is not based on any production car. Instead, it is a highly modified version of the Super Van tool. In fact, when it debuted in comic books, its builder, a character called Microchip, describes it as a "heavily modified Ford Aerostar". Mattel's version features a very detailed mobile Command & Control center, clear-coated metal base, Dish Real Riders and movable parts (rear boom and 6-barrel gatling gun). So, even though it has adult collectible quality, it is very playable, especially with other vehicles of the Marvel Universe. Due to obvious notable differences with previous comic and tv versions, at the moment of release it is not clear if this version will be featured in future comics, movies or TV shows.
