In 2011, the Green Lantern movie was released starring Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern/ Hal Jordan. Within the movie Hot Wheels had product placements within the film. Mainly in the scene where Green Lantern saves a Helicopter by turning it into a Hot Rod, and racing through Green Hot Wheel tracks loops, until it finally safely stops. Or in the extended cut, a young Hal Jordan trades Hot Wheel cars with his friend (later enemy) Hector Hammond (though you can't tell what cars they traded).

To market the movie, Hot Wheels released alot of exclusive products specifically for the Green Lantern movie, as well as promoting the movie on 2011 Hot Wheels cars. Below is a list of these promotional items:
