Description

The Honda Civic Si (Japanese: ホンダシビックSi ) is based on the actual production model. It was the brainchild of Hot Wheels Designer Dave Martis and realized by Super Street Magazine. Martis' design was ported into the mainline by Tam and illustrated by Tscherne. This model was one of the first true production based tuners to be released by a diecast manufacturer. This was Hot Wheels' first Honda Casting, released one year after the real car was discontinued and replaced by the seventh-generation Honda Civic. The Civic came in these types: coupe, 4-door saloon car (called the "Ferio" in Japan) and a hatchback. All come standard with an in-line 4 cylinder (VTEC option available) and the production ran from 1995 to 2000.
