In the 1950s and the car is king. On warm summer nights, girls wearing poodle skirts and guys sporting varsity jackets cruise Main Street in their hot cars. They pull up at their favorite hangout - the drive-in restaurant - where car hops on rollerskates bring trays loaded with hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes right to the cars. Radios blare the hottest rock 'n' roll music. Boys rev their engines and girls whisper and giggle. Here's a piece of yesterday that we've created just for you.
'57 Chevy[]
The 1957 Chevy with a 350 cubic inch V8 engine was the muscle car of the decade. Edging out the competition with real horsepower and performance, it embodied the need for speed and power!
Purple Passion[]
This custom bad boy was everyone's favorite. The chopped and channeled 1951 Mercury owned the road with an overpowering chrome front-end grille that let everyone know it was there!
1959 Cadilliac Eldorado[]
In an era where tail fins defined style, the 1959 Eldorado was the biggest shark on the road. With a 300 cid V8 engine producing 345 hp, you had it made in the shade!
1959 Impala Lowrider[]
It was all about style and beauty - and being the lowest car on the boulevard. This customized 1959 Impala Lowrider with classic gullwing rear fender design and "cat's eyes" taillights had it all!
