Description[]
"Jay Leno Tank Car" is a common name used to refer to the Blastolene Special, a custom hot rod built for American comedian and television host Jay Leno by American craftsman Randy Grubb. Built in Grubb's workshop in Grants Pass, Oregon, the Blastolene Special is powered by a 29.4L Continental AV1790-5B V12 from an M47 Patton with a Greyhound transmission; Leno has since made modifications to the car, fitting the engine with twin Banks Engineering turbochargers and fuel injection and changing the gearbox to a 6-speed Allison unit. As a result, the car is estimated to produce 1,600 BHP.
