Description[]
The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is a track-only high-performance sports car produced by Lamborghini under their Squadra Corse motorsports division. Designed by Mitja Borkert and developed according to FIA prototype safety rules, the car uses the same 6.5L L539 V12 as the Aventador SVJ but features numerous modifications to allow the car to become the most powerful V12-powered car in Lamborghini's lineup. Production totals 40 cars, with each costing $2.5 million. Deliveries began in December 2020.
The car is planned to have its own one-make racing series and when not in use is stored in a hangar near the factory where it is built in Sant'Agata Bolognese; unlike equivalent programs like the Ferrari XX Program, owners can take delivery of their cars and keep them on their own. Lamborghini is however responsible for the car's maintenance and transportation, where it can be transported to any FIA Grade 1 tracks around the world; owners will receive coaching from Lamborghini Test Drivers Emanuele Pirro and Marco Mapelli.
