2001 Lead Sledz 2-Car Set[]
For those who are new to the custom car culture, the term 'lead sled' may be puzzling, but to the "crazy" creators of these cool cars, it means chopping the roofs, dropping the bodies and heating up the lead. Manufacturer's emblems and logos are removed, chrome accents and other unwanted applications are stripped off and the remaining holes are filled with lead.
Perhaps the most notable cars in the history of customs for the lead sled treatment were the '49 Mercurys.
Hot Wheels offers you two Mercs, each bearing a flat paint job with glossy flames. We think you'll like our hot and heavy metal.
The following vehicles were included in the 2001 Lead Sledz 2-Car Set:

2003 Lead Sledz II 2-Car Set[]
Feast your eyes on a couple of Cadillac models that truly do justice to the classic class of custom cruisers we call Lead Sledz.
For those who are unaccustomed to the custom car term, lead sleds are created by chopping roofs, the dropping the bodies and heating up the lead. Manufacturer's emblems and logos are removed, chrome accents and other unwanted applications are stripped off and the remaining holes are filled with the hot and heavy metal.
Our Lead Sledz II vehicle set featuring '53 and '59 Cadillac models with glistening paint jobs is a perfect compliment to the first set we offered two years ago.
