Light Speeders Challenge Description[]
The Light Speeders Challenge Race set was a trackset that came out in 1989. The tracks and the cars where similar to Sizzlers or Motorized X-V Racers series, but with a catch; the cars are powered by an infrared light gun. Included in the set was two infrared light guns for the cars. As you aim your light gun at the cars, they would power up and race. The moment the car speeds up and looses connection of the infrared light, it slows down. So the objective is to aim your light gun on the car at all times to be the fastest on the track.
Though this track set was very innovative, there seems to be no evidence on any series, add-ons, or anything for this set. It was a one off.

Unreleased Light Speeders Laser Loop[]
Toy #3275, (which was found in a 1990 Mattel Catalog) is a similar setup to the Light Speeders Challenge but this time with loops. It was suppose to come with 2 cars that where never released!

Unreleased Light Speeders Stunt Set[]
Toy #2276 (which was found in a 1989 Mattel Catalog) is a similar setup to the Light Speeders Challenge but this time with turns to make the cars perform stunts. It was suppose to come with 1 car (either the Corvette GTP or Pennzoil Group C Racer), but was never released!
