Luis Carlos Montesdeoca is a former Mattel engineer who worked with Hot Wheels from at least the 1980s to 1997. He is said to have worked closely with Larry Wood. His name is featured on certain older Hot Wheels cars as a driver name or sponsor decal. He is currently the owner of Havana Mania, a Cuban restaurant based in California which he founded; the logo for Havana Mania appears on a special series of 200 Volkswagen Drag Buses created to celebrate his retirement.
