Mark John Barthold is a former Mattel employee who worked at Mattel from 1990 to 2014. He designed for Hot Wheels around the 1990s and 2000s; he was involved with the Motorized X-V Racers series of cars. He currently works as a Principal Designer for competing brand Spin Master, and owns his own design company, Inventor 8.
