"Master Case" is a colloquial term used to refer to a large boxed bundle produced by Mattel for the Hot Wheels lineup, officially termed by Mattel as a Factory Sealed Set or Master Set. Master cases have been produced by Mattel since 2002.
Each master case tends to include an example of all mainline models in a release year, along with their associated recolors, retailer-exclusive recolors (e.g. Kroger, Walgreens, Wal-Mart etc.) and their Super Treasure Hunt variations, as well as that year's Collector Edition or Mail-In models. Each card in the master case features a holographic seal of authenticity.
Master cases are currently available only on the Mattel Creations website to Red Line Club members; master cases currently sell for $600. These are produced in very limited quantities; a serial number sticker is present on each master case, similar to the limited-production Red Line Club cars. Occasionally an exclusive vehicle is slipped into the cases.
