Description[]

The McLaren Senna is a limited-production track-focused mid-engined high-performance sports car manufactured by McLaren Automotive from 2018 to 2019. Designed by Rob Melville, the Senna was the third car in McLaren's Ultimate Series of high-performance limited production sports cars, following the F1 and P1, although it is not intended to be a successor to either car. Named for three-time Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna, the Senna is powered by a 4.0L M840TR twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 7-speed dual clutch; the engine is derived from the one used in the 720S and produces 789 horsepower. Priced at $1 million per car, 500 Sennas were produced, with the final car auctioned off. A number of additional variants of the Senna, such as the Senna GTR and Senna LM, have been produced since.

Ryu Asada has said that he was a "big fan" of Ayrton Senna and that the side window in the door was a challenge when designing the casting. In 2020 the casting was given a very slight retool in order to add definition to the headlights.

The base of early prototypes reads McLaren Senna (P15).

Shatter lap records with this exotic McLaren inspired by 3-time world driving champion, Ayrton Senna. This 789 bhp coupe has a top speed of 211 mph and looks even faster! (The FYG22 card lists the top speed as 208 mph, as does the McLaren website.)
