Description[]
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a grand touring race car built by Mercedes-AMG Motorsport for use in endurance racing. Homologated for the GT3 category, the AMG GT3 was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and is mainly used by customer teams in endurance racing series. The AMG GT3 is powered by a 6.2L M159 V8, similar to its predecessor, the SLS AMG GT3; AMG touts the cars as having the "utmost reliability, impressive performance, excellent drivability and benchmark-setting safety". The EVO 2020 version, introduced in 2020, is an aerodynamics upgrade for the AMG GT3 and is the current version of the car used in competition in series such as GT World Challenge Europe, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and Super GT; it can be identified by its significantly larger front grille.
This casting was named the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO 2020 in development.
The livery of the first released model is based on the 2022 Spa 24 Hours winning car.
