After the Micro Hot Wheels line, the Hot Wheels Micro Vehicles came out as a replacement in 1996 for a year (or two?) to fill the micro scale diecast slot.
These unique cars have a hook on the front and a hole in the back, allowing collectors to hook cars together, make "a rope of cars", or race the micro cars down a track similar to a roller coaster carts.
They where replaced later with the Planet Micro series.
