The Mysterion is a Hot Wheels casting which debuted in the 2001 Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth 4-Car Set in the 100% Hot Wheels Series. It is based on the real-life Mysterion which was a custom Hot Rod designed and built by Ed Roth in 1963. It featured two Ford engines and a bubble-top roof. After being featured on the front cover of Rod & Custom Magazine September 1963 and appearing at many car shows throughout the USA, the Mysterion changed hands several times and eventually was rediscovered in such poor condition that the car was dismantled and sold as parts.
