Night Shifter

Description[]

Night Shifter is a heavily modified muscle car featuring an exposed engine and two aircraft fuel tanks on the trunk lid. Since it was introduced, the Night Shifter has been featured in a significant amount of Hot Wheels marketing material and media.

Other Toys and Merchandise[]

McDonald's (2019)[]

A slightly larger scale pure plastic model of the Night Shifter was released in 2019 for the McDonald's Hot Wheels and Barbie Happy Meal promotions with it being based off the its 2016 mainline HW Race Team colors. The Night Shifter came with the "Gate Crasher" track part as with all the other vehicles during that time. The track piece was a simple piece of hard plastic track that had a breakable metal door with the Hot Wheels logo on it with the piece being able to connect to Track Builder sets. Night Shifter also needed stickers to be added on to it to enhance its appearance.

Hot Wheels RC (2019)[]

Made by Mondo Motors, The Hot Wheels RC Night Shifter is a 1:24 scale model of the original with a slightly tooned take on its body, it features light-up headlights with four sounds and is able to go up to 12 km/h with batteries included.

The Loyal Subjects (2020)[]

The Loyal Subjects Night Shifter is a larger and more tooned scale version of the Night Shifter with non-moving wheels. The Night Shifter came in three colors both being based on its 2016 first addition HW Race Team colors and the last being based on the Red Edition from 2016.

Ready-To-Race (2020)[]

The Ready-To-Race Night Shifter is a reattachable plastic version of the Night Shifter witch features numerous 29 accessories and parts to add on the vehicle. Some of these include tools such as a screwdriver and wrench as well as vehicle parts such as an engine and wheel parts to customized to the user's desire.

Finders Keepers (2021)[]

The Finders Keepers Night Shifter is a small pure plastic version of the car with it being based on a non-existent white HW Race Team version of its diecast counterpart. Like all cars in the Finders Keepers line, it consists of an edible chocolate egg with a promotional toy (In this case being a Hot Wheels car) inside a capsule.

MaxToy (2021)[]

Based on the HW Race Day mainline release of Night Shifter the MaxToy's suitcase is a large and slightly tooned version of said rendition of Night Shifter. The suitcase has many features such as moving wheels, two interior mesh compartments and a unique 3 wheel system that helps the suitcase move up steps and uneven floors.

Carrera GO!!! (2022)[]

A 1:43 scale Night Shifter was released as apart of the Carrera GO!!! Line of 1:43 scale slot cars. It came in two colors both being based off its HW Race Teams colors, the blue Night Shifter was also included in a Hot Wheels themed starter set with the HW50 Concept while the red was released in single packaging.

Wall Art (2022)[]

Night Shifter has had many different official works of wall art done for it with most of them being minor background appearances. The wall art comes as acrylic which features a unique glossy finish giving the artwork substance and depth or as spray & up which only required spraying water on the back of the painting to be applied on a wall. The material can easily be re-positioned and re-aligned in the first 10 minutes of installation and could be removed by simply soaking it with water and peeling it off.

Finders Keepers (2024)[]

Night Shifter is the only casting to make a reappearance in the Finders Keepers series, now as a shorter, cartoonish, pull back car. There where 3 mystery variants.
