The Preying Menace is a Hot Wheels casting debuting in the 2006 First Editions. The car's design and the play on words of the name is based on the insect "Preying Mantis". It was first released in 2006 as a mainline car from the "First Editions" series, and has recently been demoted to a 5-pack car and a car bundled with the "Racing Rigs" series. Is Playable In Hot Wheels Ultimate Racing PSP. Most versions of the car have a canopy that can be opened; in 2015, the casting was changed and the car's canopy can no longer be opened.
