In AcceleRacers this car was driven by Mitchell "Monkey" Mclurg. It was his first car. Though Rollin' Thunder was criticized for being a SUV, the first version did top out at 200 MPH, with the next version hitting 275 MPH. Despite it's seemingly impressive top speed for an SUV, it is the slowest Metal Maniacs car. The Rollin' Thunder is powered by a 590hp 7.5 liter V8 with headers and has a 6 speed transmission. The engine has a false cowl induction with a block in front of it. The most noticable feature of the car is that the exhaust pipes go behind the wheels so the side intakes keep the brakes from overheating. The top intakes do not serve a purpose; they only enhance the car's look. The body is made of high impact thermoplastic. The car sits on computerized active suspension, making it possible for Rollin' Thunder to be able to drive on ANY terrain with ease. The interior has 2 seats like a sports car which is separated from the rest of the car by a wall to save weight. The rest of the interior is mostly empty. The car has 20" wheels with carbon fiber 8 piston brakes with cross drilled and slotted rotors.
