Description

The Special Delivery is a Hot Wheels casting which debuted in the 1971 Hot Wheels range of vehicles. It is a mail-themed hot rod, with a mailbox as a body and a park-bench as a set.

It was only produced once and in only one color; blue. Due to inconsistancies in the Spectraflame painting process, differences in shade occur making some cars very light blue while others very dark blue.

It came packaged with decal sheet with five stickers, 'US Mail' either side of the mailbox, a smaller 'US Mail' on the fuel tank/suitcase on the rear, 'Special Delivery' on the rear and a guage cluster on the back of the engine and an artists impression of the car. It also came packaged with a plastic 'Collectors Button'.

The Special Delivery has not been seen since 1971.
