The Starter Set is a trackset that starts the basics into creating any track any racer desires. Started in the 1990s under the Track System line, the name "Starter Set has appeared many times over the years. They are as followed:

In 2006 the set was renamed to simply Starter Set and modified with additional pieces and a new feature touting the set could be reconfigured into two different layouts. There was a 2nd version of the set which feature additional pieces such as cones and traffic signals. It came with a Jet Threat 3.0
Wild Cat Super Starter Set[]

There is two versions of this Starter pack. One including a Technetium and the other including a Octainium.

Kid Picks[]
In 2009 the set was re-released in the Kid Picks line and renamed Figure 8 Raceway, the name with which this set is most commonly associated. Some later versions of the set include a free 5-Pack of cars alongside the set. This set with an Octainium.
