Hot Wheels: Stunt Strikers is a cancelled and unreleased computer-animated television series created by Mainframe Entertainment in partnership with Mattel entertainment subsidiaries. It was planned for release sometime in 2007 but was cancelled due to internal changes at Mattel and priority of producing the Speed Racer series. It was inspired but not related to concepts left over from cancelled movies 5-8 of the Hot Wheels: AcceleRacers film series. A promotional McDonald's set alongside a web comic and a online game on the Happy Meal website was released outlining some plot details. A single test stereoscopic 3D animation exists but is lost media. Concepts and characters from this show were used for the video game Turbo Driver in 2008 and television series Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5 in 2009.
Plot[]
Hot Wheels: Stunt Strikers followed Jack Striker and his team as they protected earth from an alien invasion. Alien Crossers arrived out of a tornado storm cloud as lightning bolts, taking form of whichever elemental material they struck first. Jack Striker had magnetic boots that allowed him to stand on the outside of Thunderblade.
