T-Bird Stocker (1:24)

The T-Bird Stocker is a 1/24 scale model of the T-Bird Stocker which never came out in production.

It makes sense that when Hot Wheels got the rights to make NASCARs in the Pro Racing line starting in 1997 they wanted to make models of all sizes per stock car. What Hot Wheels might have not foreseen is that the Ford Thunderbird Stock Car was in it's very last year, with the Ford Taurus Stock car coming out in 1998. To make matters worse for this casting, Hot Wheels created a line of 1/64 NASCARs in 1997, but it wasnt until 1998 that they released the 1/24 scale models. Meaning the Ford Thunderbird had no purpose for production.

Luckily these images prove that one was in the works and close for production. There is two theories of what this car could've appeared in:

It could have been the Bill Elliott's #94 Mc Donald's car as a 1/64 highly detailed version of the car was made in the Legends series. This is the variant that might possibly exists but is highly rare.

A close picture of a model driver in the car suggested maybe it would be in the short-lived Legends to Life series with Bill Elliott as that series had alot of mechanics in there 1/24 scale cars to simulate driving. Only one NASCAR was made in the series for Kyle Pettys Pontiac Grand Prix Stocker.
