I always wondered if the Tampo String was necessary before 1974, since they weren't introduced for the first time in Flying Colors in 1974, prior to that stickers were given in the packages of the bottom of the blisters. Fantazim 06:19, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually, the first tampo that Hot Wheels used was in 1969, on the Custom Police Cruiser. At least, according to book about Redlines that I have. It is called "The Ultimate Redline Guide," written by Jack Clark and Robert P. Wicker and published in 2003. HaarFager 06:22, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
