Street Beast[]
Is there a page for the Ferrari 308 (the Street Beast one)? Because when you click the link on this page for the Street Beast, it takes you to the Convertible casting that looks like a Studebaker. I guess if there was reasoning for the Disambiguation pages, as oppose to each name having its own page, this is it. Btw, I like what you have done with the page Kenny. - I see how confusing it is! I fixed the page to show exactly which of the three Ferrari 308 GTB's came out first and the links how to get to their proper page. Because actually, the name Ferrari 308 GTB was the one that was released after the other two. They didn't name it with it's true Ferrari name until 1997.
- Actually, I think this is a better example of why exactly we do need a page for every vehicle. Did you know that Hot Wheels has released three distinct vehicles, all under the name of "Street Beast?" There was this first one, the Ferrari 308 GTB, a second one, a Monster Truck 'Vette and the third one was the Studebaker-type car you saw. It can only be through our diligent efforts that we can keep everything straight so people can navigate their way through the Wiki, even though Hot Wheels hasn't managed to keep things straight on their end.
- Which vehicle gets the rights to the name when there are multiple vehicles that are released for the first time with that same name? It's not up to us to decide, only to show that they all exist and to provide a page detailing all about them! We just need to be super smart to catch all these little things like you did on this Ferrari page and let me know about. It's fixed now.
