Red over Yellow
Many of the 2010-127 Global All Stars Walmart exclusive red version "used to be" a yellow one.
Red Paint Over Yellow
Trying something new here. For some "variations" I was thinking this way might be better than a separate line on the main page. ranugad 06:44, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
- This is not a variation, Most repaints dont show a color shade difference. There is a good reason that the only people who consider paint shades a variation, are the forum gossipers..... and that is because of the fact that every car using transparent or translucent paint will appear different depending on the thickness of the paint. If anything you could consider these as errors, since im sure mattel never intended for you to know that they do repaints. Sinnin 13:12, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
first off, I prefer not to get into a discusion as to the validity of it being a "variation" That would require an agreed upon definition of the word variation.
I will however defend the inclusion of this obvious and talked about (see HWC threads linked to below) difference in appearance of this car in the wiki. How that gets done and who ultimately decides the manner is unknown to me. All I care about is reporting what I KNOW some collectors care about. I could site MANY instances of cars chased after because they were previously painted cars. I hope I don't have to but here are the ones for this one...
woops, I forgot to sign this... ranugad 03:45, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
- I thought I had found some cars with another color of paint underneath! To see this conclusive proof only validates what I thought I saw. Thanks for posting this! HaarFager 23:57, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
